Search traces with TraceQL

/v1/api/instance/:instance/traces/traceql/search

Searches traces with a TraceQL query. The response is in the Tempo search format: each trace has its root span data and the span sets that matched.

q takes a TraceQL span selector, for example \{ resource.service.name = "checkout" && span.http.status_code >= 500 \}. A trace ID in q finds that trace.

This endpoint does not accept a metrics query (a query with | rate() or another metrics function). Send a metrics query to the TraceQL metrics endpoint, /traceql/metrics/query_range.

start and end are Unix epoch seconds. When you do not send them, the range is the last hour.
